Each year JKL offers several students the opportunity to test their abilities in the demanding world of strategic communication. JKL’s Student Internship programme is based on our goals of exceeding expectations and always being one step ahead. As a JKL Student Associate, you have a unique opportunity to work on projects involving events that affect societies and business arenas. As part of a team of strategic communication advisors, you will develop your consultancy skills and professional network while working on projects that have a real impact. Typical duties include gathering, compiling and analysing various types of information, performing media monitoring and drafting and preparing reports and presentations. JKL’s Student Internship programme offers not only a great challenge but also a valuable stepping stone in your future career – with JKL or in other top positions.

Student Associates normally work at JKL full-time during a summer or one university term. The application period opens in October for spring and summer positions and in February for autumn positions.

Experienced Hires

JKL is pleased to support students in their thesis work. These theses normally concern media and communication, political science or economics, but occasionally we also assist students in other areas. To qualify for support, students need to submit a relevant and interesting thesis topic proposal to which JKL can contribute. JKL rarely provides finalised thesis topics. Following initial review and approval of a student’s thesis plan, JKL can provide assistance with, for example, interviews and empirical data.
