Welcome to JKL

JKL Group is one of the Nordic region’s leading strategic communication advisors. We counsel management groups from a number of industries on how communication can contribute to reaching business goals. We focus on building and preserving an organisation’s reputation capital for various publics by suggesting solutions and helping to implement changes. Our clients approach us for advice on issues such as financial communication, IPOs, crisis management, media relations, public affairs, and lobbying.

JKL has offices in Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Gothenburg and Brussels. We work in national or Nordic client teams. Our network also allows us to work with international projects for Nordic companies.

JKL Group also includes MSL Nordic, which operates in Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen. JKL Group is part of MSLGROUP, owned by the international communications group Publicis Groupe.

Agenda
2010-10-13 Renaissance for the Riksdag?

Transport company. Rubber stamp. Discussion circle. Yes, these are some of the less than flattering descriptions often ascribed to the Riksdag, or Swedish Parliament. Are they true? Well, perhaps they stretch the reality of our elected officials a bit. But what is true is that very few parliamentary votes during the past term of office have come out of left field.

2010-04-22 Oxenstierna’s legacy impedes Swedish market regulation

The EU directive for electronic communication, the ”Telecoms Reform Package”, was pushed through in November 2009. But why have 750 new regulations emerged on the electronic communication market, despite the fact that no major political parties are going to the polls on the issue of market regulation of the telecoms sector? And why is it so difficult to influence (non)political decisions on market regulation?

2010-04-09 Your colleagues have been promoted

It’s often said that all employees in an organisation are important ambassadors. The major impact of social media in recent years, however, has brought matters to head. Via the internet, your colleagues are just one click away from the surrounding world – and the number of spokespersons within your company with uncertain status and agendas has thus grown exponentially.

2010-02-16 Swedish bloc politics an historical parenthesis

The current political analysis leading up to last autumn’s parliamentary election is largely based on the fact that today’s political blocs are modern manifestations of the Hat and Cap Parties that dominated the Swedish political scene during the last half of the 18th century. At the same time, we shouldn’t forget that Sweden’s political system is actually designed so that we can form strong minority governments and that strong, multi-party political blocs working in coalition are alien to our system.
