JKL employee and former Prime Minister Göran Persson was interviewed for the latest issue of McKinsey Quarterly (June 2009).

The article entitled "Reforming the Public Sector in a Crisis: An interview with Sweden's former Prime Minister" focuses on reform efforts in times of crisis. The authors write that leaders around the world should find courage in the story that Göran Persson has to tell. As Finance Minister, and later Prime Minister, he managed to twice win the voters' trust after tough reforms. Some of the questions Göran Persson answers are: How to succeed in implementing reforms in times of crisis? Voters' support is not infinite – how much time before it ends? The increased need for the public sector in times of crisis, along with the need to cut costs –how to manage such a balance?
