Per Ola has extensive experience as strategic advisor within Public Affairs. He has led major communication assignments focused on lobbying, advocacy and crisis communication, and is experienced in assisting companies that operate in politically regulated environments. He focuses on developing the firm‘s Public Affairs offer and supporting on-going assignments. Per Ola previously worked for the Moderate Party, and also has a background in the pulp and paper industry and as a journalist. He holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the Linköping Institute of Technology.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
The news! I’m a big news consumer and have always started the day with newspaper reading from editors page, op ed and further on. But I leave the sports section to others.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learnt from a client?
Give advice that is easy to implement and help the client to implement it.
What has been the biggest change in the industry since you started working?
Todays business leaders are much better communicators and the communication departments have become more skilled. We – their advisors – have to be even better.
What are the major industry challenges in the next 3 to 5 years?
To stay relevant in the dramatic change driven by digitalisation. Our industry must remain experts in old style communication parallel with exploring new digital fields and at the same time keeping the strategic eye.
